Welcome to
Westwood Baptist
Church of Fresno!

While so much changes, we invite you to join us to worship and trust in our faithful and unchanging God. He has given us His Word that is sure, certain, and trustworthy. We believe confidently that Jesus is the Son of God, who died, was buried, and rose again to give all who believe salvation and a living hope!

We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as originally written were God-breathed, both verbally and in every part.

There is one, and only one, true and living God; that there is indivisible unity in the Godhead, yet existing in three separate persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.  He lived a sinless life, died on the cross to atone for all sins, resurrected on the third day, arose into heaven, and is alive, sitting at the right hand of God the Father.

May the Lord make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you.

Our Church and COVID 19

September 22, 2020

We have been on an adventure this year, adjusting our 9:30 Sunday morning service to the various health guidelines. So far in 2020, we have conducted no in person services, then outdoor services, then indoor services. And this adventure is not done!

Because of the current changes in air quality, we are meeting inside and having our service broadcast live through Facebook. If you believe that God wants you to be in person for worship, you will find out doors open. We do ask that you attend with a mask and observe social distancing. If you believe that God wants you to be at home for worship, please join us through our church facebook page. For further information, please contact us.

We believe that meeting together in person in an essential part of being a church, as in Acts 2:46 and Hebrews 10:25. We also believe that loving one another is an essential part of being a church, which includes being concerned for the physical health of each other (see John 15:12 and 1 Peter 3:8). We believe that the physical and spiritual well-being of each person are of equal value and importance.

To better ensure the health of each person who comes to our church facility, we have upgraded the cleaning of our facilities, implemented ministry guidelines in keeping with those of public health officials, and changed to alternatives of giving, communion, and meetings.

We continue to proclaim the truth of God's Word and seek His direction in ministering to both body and soul. The commands of God's Word are never qualified by clauses that require obedience in times of health and prosperity. Our God is powerful and merciful to make all grace overflow to each person, no matter the circumstances.

With our eyes fixed on Jesus and with a confidence in the faithfulness of our God, we go forward together in obeying, serving, and worshipping Him.
