Advent, Day 17 – Jesus is our Peace

Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:17-20

I don’t know about you, but I am just so amazed at God’s plan for our lives. Knowing full well my sins and inadequacies, God selects me to tell others about salvation. He’s the God of the universe! And so, He has chosen me? and you? Because that is how great He is!

Reconciliation means the peace process. It’s how we come to be at peace with God. But these verses do more than inform us of what we Christians have in Jesus Christ. They go one step further in staying that God has chosen you to tell others about this reconciliation or peace process! People need the message of peace, and God has chosen you to tell them!

A Prayer: Father, thank You for the privilege of being Your ambassadors! Give us grace and strength and boldness to be your ambassadors today. May we know the joy of telling someone about your peace!
