Fear Journal – Day 125

God is mighty to save!

Zephaniah 3:15-17 The Lord has taken away His judgments against you, He has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; You will fear disaster no more. In that day it will be said to Jerusalem: “Do not be afraid, O Zion; Do not let your hands fall limp. The Lord your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior (or mighty to save). He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.

Story: Sometimes life seems to hit you with problems left and right, up and down, inside and out. Even worse for Jerusalem, many of the problems were self-inflicted by their sin. But the LORD promises His presence, His protection, and best of all, His loving salvation! He will not and cannot forget Jerusalem or His people. He will shout, speak softly, and exult in them, as He is in their midst. So then Jerusalem has present work to do: their hands should not go limp but be busy.

My Prayer Response: Father, thank You for this message. My hands were starting to weaken as I considered the various problems. But I will not fear, because of who You are. You provide, You protect, You love, and You are mighty to save! I love that You are with me, and that You never fail or falter in Your promises. So let me get to the work You have me to do, no matter what the challenges and problems are!

May you trust that the LORD your God is in your midst today!
