The Final Fear: A Celebration!
Revelation 19:5 And a voice came from the throne, saying, “Give praise to our God, all you His bond-servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great.”
Story (I wrote this, but Hannah helped by humming her favorite victory songs, such as from The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and Avengers): After so many passages of wrath and judgment, this is a huge celebration! Jesus has won the victory! The world system of idolatry and immorality has been completely and totally defeated!
A great multitude in heaven starts the Hallelujah celebration in v. 1; it isn’t enough and they celebrate again in v. 3. The 24 elders and 4 living creatures – most likely angelic beings – join in v. 4. And finally, all who fear God and belong to Him (bond-slaves) are invited to participate in praise and victory (v. 5). I picture this like a victory parade, and when all the cheering is done, then comes the great celebration of the marriage of the Lamb Jesus to His bride, the church!
My Prayer Response: Father, what a verse to end our fear journal! Not of cowering or trembling fear, but celebrating, victorious fear of You! Thank You for the celebration that is come, and that we can get tastes of this in our salvation and our Sunday church services. How comforting and assuring to know that, no matter what, Jesus wins! It is not in doubt at all!
May you rejoice and celebrate in the victory in Jesus!
